refactor(markdown): remove goldmark-highlighting (#39751)
Render fenced code blocks with Gitea's own code block renderer instead of `goldmark-highlighting`, using the managed lexer lookup from `modules/highlight`. Indented and fenced blocks now share one rendering path. Rendered output is unchanged. The trailing newline is stripped on copy in the frontend since https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39755. --------- Co-authored-by: wxiaoguang <wxiaoguang@gmail.com> |

`preserve-inline` in the `js` setting `brace_style` takes effect, so `{ bubbles: true }` stays on one line in a `<script>` or in an attribute formatted with `--format-attribute-js-json`. It used to be dropped before the code was formatted. - The json schema allows any option under `css` and `js`, so a strict validator such as Tombi no longer reports `indent_size` there. ### [`v1.47.0`](https://redirect.github.com/djlint/djLint/blob/HEAD/CHANGELOG.md#1470---2026-10-22) [Compare Source](https://redirect.github.com/djlint/djLint/compare/v1.46.6...v1.47.0) ##### Feature - New option `--sort-load-tags` / `sort_load_tags` sorts the libraries in a `{% load %}` tag and drops the ones written twice, so `{% load static i18n %}` becomes `{% load i18n static %}`. In `{% load a b from library %}` the names before `from` are sorted. It is off by default: where two libraries define a tag or filter of the same name, the one loaded last wins, so sorting can change which one a template uses. - The formatter drops the spaces `H012` reports around an attribute's `=`, so `<div class = "a">` becomes `<div class="a">`. ##### Changed - `H010` reports the names the formatter lowercases, in any mix of case, so `Width="3"` is now reported. A framework binding such as `:itemID` or `@ID` and a longer name such as `data-ID` no longer are, since the formatter leaves their case alone. - `H018` is not reported under `--close-void-tags`, since the formatter then writes the `/>` ending the rule reports. `--ignore-case` already worked this way for `H009` and `H010`. ##### Fix - `H020` reports an empty pair whose end tag has whitespace before its `>`, such as `<div></div\n>`. - `H026` reports a `class` or `id` holding only whitespace, such as `class=" "`, and one written with spaces around the `=`. - `H033` reports an action padded at both ends once. It used to report it twice, unless an attribute before `action` happened to make the two reports look the same. - Markup written inside an attribute value, as in `<p title="<img src='a'>">`, is text, and `H005`, `H008`, `H010`, `H012`, `D018`, `J018`, `H024`, `H026`, `H029` and `H033` no longer report it. `H046` and `H051` read `tabindex` and `role` from the tag's own attributes, so `tabindex=1` written in a value or in the page text is not reported either. - `T001` and `T027` read a tag holding a dict, such as `{{ f({"a": {"b": 1}}) }}`, up to the `}}` that closes it rather than the first `}}` inside it. - `T032` steps over an escaped quote in a string, so the spaces in `{{ x|default:"a \"b c\"" }}` are not reported. - `H015` reports a heading followed by a tag on the same line anywhere in the file. It used to look only at the last line. - The rules that read a tag's attributes step over a template tag written in it, including a handlebars `{{{attrs}}}` and a dict as in `{{ {'class': 'x'}|xmlattr }}`, so `<img {{ attrs }} src='a'>` is reported by `H008`, which used to stop reading at the `{{`. - `T038` steps over a string in a block tag, so the `{%` in `{% with a="{%" %}` does not cut the tag short. ##### Performance - The rules that read a tag's attributes stop at a stray `<`, and `H015`, `H030`, `H036`, `T001`, `T027`, `T038` and `T039` no longer read the rest of the document again for each tag. A file holding thousands of unclosed tags or headings on one line is linted in a fraction of a second, where it used to take minutes. </details> <details> <summary>docker/login-action</summary> ### [`v4.7.0`](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/releases/tag/v4.7.0) [Compare Source](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/compare/v4.6.0...v4.7.0) - Preserve explicit ECR settings in `registry-auth` by [@crazy-max](https://redirect.github.com/crazy-max) in [#1089](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1089) - Use registry hosts for scoped credentials by [@crazy-max](https://redirect.github.com/crazy-max) in [#1088](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1088) - Raise Docker Hub OIDC max expiry to 6 hours by [@crazy-max](https://redirect.github.com/crazy-max) in [#1068](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1068) - Log Docker Hub OIDC token exchange progress by [@crazy-max](https://redirect.github.com/crazy-max) in [#1061](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1061) - Bump [@aws-sdk/client-ecr](https://redirect.github.com/aws-sdk/client-ecr) and [@aws-sdk/client-ecr-public](https://redirect.github.com/aws-sdk/client-ecr-public) to 3.1154.0 in [#1093](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1093) - Bump [@docker/actions-toolkit](https://redirect.github.com/docker/actions-toolkit) from 0.94.0 to 0.107.0 in [#1100](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1100) - Bump [@humanfs/node](https://redirect.github.com/humanfs/node) from 0.16.7 to 0.16.8 in [#1077](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1077) - Bump csv-parse from 7.0.1 to 7.0.3 in [#1078](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1078) - Bump handlebars from 4.7.9 to 4.7.10 in [#1091](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1091) - Bump js-yaml from 5.2.2 to 5.5.0 in [#1066](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1066) - Bump postcss from 8.5.22 to 8.5.26 in [#1071](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1071) - Bump postcss-selector-parser from 7.1.1 to 7.1.6 in [#1092](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1092) - Bump source-map-js from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 in [#1090](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1090) - Bump undici from 6.27.0 to 6.29.1 in [#1085](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1085) - Bump uuid from 14.0.1 to 14.0.3 in [#1096](https://redirect.github.com/docker/login-action/pull/1096) **Full Changelog**: <https://github.com/docker/login-action/compare/v4.6.0...v4.7.0> </details> <details> <summary>sindresorhus/eslint-plugin-unicorn (eslint-plugin-unicorn)</summary> ### [`v79.0.0`](https://redirect.github.com/sindresorhus/eslint-plugin-unicorn/releases/tag/v79.0.0) [Compare Source](https://redirect.github.com/sindresorhus/eslint-plugin-unicorn/compare/v78.0.0...v79.0.0) #### Breaking - `no-top-level-side-effects`: Focus on mutations of globals, and remove it from the `unopinionated` preset ([#3915](https://redirect.github.com/sindresorhus/eslint-plugin-unicorn/issues/3915)) [`24abac4`](https://redirect.github.com/sindresorhus/eslint-plugin-unicorn/commit/24abac48) - Unknown calls are no longer reported by default. fix: correctly parse and validate forwarded client IPs and remove unmaintained chi-middleware/proxy (#39190)
Replace the unmaintained `chi-middleware/proxy` with an in-tree handler that detects client IPs correctly behind common reverse proxies. 1. Handle repeated header lines and comma-separated proxy hops. 2. Accept and normalize IPs, including `ip:port`. 3. Keep the client port from the header value or `X-Real-Port` instead of logging port 0. 4. Prefer the last `X-Real-IP` line. 5. Keep the proxy's address when the selected value is invalid. 6. Read `Forwarded` only when `X-Forwarded-For` is absent. fix: optimize packages upload memory (#39366)
Bound the memory used when parsing uploaded packages, so instances with low memory limits survive non-standard packages. 1. Metadata files are read through a size-limited reader, archives themselves stay unbounded so large payloads keep working 2. zstd decoding caps the window at 128 MiB, the zstd CLI default 3. RPM headers go through a first-party reader with rpmlib's size and array count limits that allocates only what the upload contains, until https://github.com/sassoftware/go-rpmutils/pull/44 is released. Signing still verifies the payload digest, and its signature header matches rpmsign's byte for byte 4. Swift and NuGet read the zip entry they size-checked, a duplicate name could stand in for it before 5. Terraform states check `LIMIT_SIZE_TERRAFORM_STATE` before parsing, NuGet symbol PDBs share a 256 MiB budget 6. Oversized container configs are rejected instead of stored without metadata, invalid Vagrant boxes answer 400 instead of 500 Signed-off-by: techknowlogick <git@tklk.dev> Co-authored-by: techknowlogick <git@tklk.dev> Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: techknowlogick <techknowlogick@gitea.com> |

fix(actions): keep folded block scalars intact across serialization (#39787)
Folded (`>`) scalars in workflows gained blank lines and had spaces turned into newlines every time Gitea re-serialized a job. This bumps go-yaml to its main branch and drops our workarounds. The runner gets the same change in https://gitea.com/gitea/runner/pulls/1321. - go-yaml main fixes the accumulating blank lines (https://github.com/yaml/go-yaml/pull/366) and the block scalar indentation indicators (https://github.com/yaml/go-yaml/pull/414), so `BlockSafeString` and the folded scalar requoting go away - The job encoder no longer wraps lines, because go-yaml still wraps more-indented lines of folded scalars and turns a space into a newline - The fix applies to folded scalars anywhere in a workflow, including workflow-level `env` Fixes https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/39775 Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> |

enhance(actions): show the steps the runner reports (#39720)
Gitea derives the steps of a job from the workflow file, so the `pre` and `post` steps of actions only show up inside "Set up job" and "Complete job". Fixes https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/24604. A runner can now report the steps it actually runs, and Gitea shows those instead. Runners that don't report them keep the current view, and older Gitea versions ignore them. Because Request.Trailer is a map, each entry incurs memory overhead. For HTTP/2 servers, a malicious client can exploit this by sending a "Trailer" header that declares a large number of fields, causing the server to allocate a disproportionate amount of memory while bypassing Server.MaxHeaderValueCount and Server.MaxHeaderBytes limits. This exploit is not applicable for HTTP/1 servers, which do not support multiplexing a large number of requests over one TCP connection, and whose Server.MaxHeaderBytes are calculated differently. #### Severity Unknown #### References - [https://go.dev/cl/847185](https://go.dev/cl/847185) - [https://go.dev/cl/847314](https://go.dev/cl/847314) - [https://go.dev/issue/81857](https://go.dev/issue/81857) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/U2fTuyDJznI) - [https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs](https://groups.google.com/g/golang-announce/c/ZPwCyRUuGBs) This data is provided by [OSV](https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-6603) and the [Go Vulnerability Database](https://redirect.github.com/golang/vulndb) ([CC-BY 4.0](https://redirect.github.com/golang/vulndb#license)). </details> --- ### HTTP/2 transport accepts malformed framing-related headers in net/http [CVE-2026-78660](https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-78660) / [GO-2026-6610](https://pkg.go.dev/vuln/GO-2026-6610) <details> <summary>More information</summary> #### Details Historically, we have been rather lax about malformed framing-related headers in our HTTP/2 implementation, as they cannot interfere with HTTP/2 framing. However, this makes it possible for our HTTP/2 implementation to forward responses containing such headers to an HTTP/1 client when acting as a reverse proxy. enhance(actions): improve matrix job titles, bump actionslib (#39485)
Bump actionslib to v1.3.0 and format matrix job titles like GitHub.
- Matrix values are listed in declaration order, nested arrays and
objects are flattened, null and empty values are skipped
- Expression-evaluated names are trimmed and fall back to the job ID
when blank
- Matrix `include` and `exclude` match keys case-insensitively and
coerce numbers like GitHub
| Matrix | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| `v: ["a,b"]` | `job (a,b)` | `job (a,b)` |
| `v: ["a, b"]` | `job (a, b)` | `job (a, b)` |
| `v: [[a, b]]` | `job ([a b])` | `job (a, b)` |
| `os: [x], arch: [y]` | `job (y, x)` | `job (x, y)` |
| `v: [{t: a, p: "b,c"}]` | `job (map[p:b,c t:a])` | `job (a, b,c)` |
| `v: [{t: a, p: [b, c]}]` | `job (map[p:[b c] t:a])` | `job (a, b, c)`

refactor!: remove go-git backend (#39487)
Removes the go-git backend so every build uses the git CLI backend. Its Windows performance advantage is gone, it lacks SHA-256 support, and it breaks repositories on Windows. refactor!: move go-chi/session into Gitea (#39504)
The `gitea.com/go-chi/session` package only exists for Gitea, so it moves into `modules/session` to fix its bugs directly. Fixes the flake in https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/actions/runs/36726154500/job/109923538400. - Sessions are only written back when changed, so a read-only request can't revert a concurrent change or restore a logged-out session, like https://github.com/go-macaron/session/commit/ae808a4a4660c802965c834299ab08f167effd12 - The session cookie is only set once a session holds data - Every backend refreshes the expiry on load and file sessions are written atomically - Also fix https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/36176 ## ⚠️ BREAKING ⚠️ * the `mysql`, `postgres`, `couchbase` and `memcache` session providers are removed, use `file`, `db` or `redis` instead * login-related cookies are renamed to `gitea_session` and `gitea_remember`, if you'd like to use the old names, set `COOKIE_NAME` and `COOKIE_REMEMBER_NAME` in app.ini --------- Co-authored-by: wxiaoguang <wxiaoguang@gmail.com> |

refactor: move go-chi/binding into Gitea (#39528)
The `gitea.com/go-chi/binding` package only exists for Gitea, so it moves into `modules/web/binding` to fix its bugs directly. Split out of https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39504. - GET and HEAD always bind the query - JSON `null` slice elements and nested `TrimSpace` fields bind correctly - Integer fields reject out-of-range values instead of wrapping - An empty JSON body binds nothing and an unknown binding rule is an error Co-authored-by: wxiaoguang <wxiaoguang@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: bircni <bircni@icloud.com> |

fix: use READ COMMITTED transactions on MySQL and MariaDB (#39506)
MariaDB 11.6.2+ defaults `innodb_snapshot_isolation` to `ON`, which fails REPEATABLE READ transactions with error 1020 when a row they write changed after their first read. feat(actions): update actionslib, support self:, misc fixes (#39358)
Updates actionslib to https://gitea.com/gitea/actionslib/releases/tag/v1.2.1, moves workflow parsing into it and aligns behaviour with GitHub. 1. `uses:` supports `self:` (Gitea-only feature) and `$/` paths. 1. `strategy`, `matrix`, `max-parallel` and `fail-fast` accept expressions, including over `needs`. A job whose `name`, `runs-on` or `continue-on-error` reads `needs` is resolved once they finish. 1. A job `if:` may only read `github`, `needs`, `vars` and `inputs` and is decided before the matrix, as on github.com. 1. Matrix `fail-fast` cancels the other combinations, and `always()` jobs keep running when a run is cancelled. 1. Invalid workflow files, including a malformed `on:` and unknown or cyclic `needs`, show up on push as failed runs with the error. 1. A job whose `if:` or `concurrency:` fails to evaluate is skipped or failed with the error, instead of staying blocked. 1. Reusable workflows: a missing and an unreadable repository fail alike, public callers cannot use private workflows, nested jobs cannot exceed the caller's token permissions. 1. Runner labels match case-insensitively, and `runs-on` accepts an array from an expression. refactor: replace AWS SDK with a REST client for CodeCommit migration (#39330)
Replace `aws-sdk-go-v2` in the CodeCommit migration with a minimal REST client for the four read-only API calls it uses. Binary shrinks by ~3.1 MB. Mock data was recorded against live from a AWS CodeCommit repo and then anonymized. Also stop storing the repo description as the default branch which fixes below issue. fix(avatar): use sha256 and inline the federated avatar lookup (#38843)
- Hash emails with sha256. Gravatar moved to sha256, and both it and libravatar.org serve the same image for either hash. - Drop `strk.kbt.io/projects/go/libravatar` for a 46 line inline SRV lookup. It could not bound or cancel its DNS query and panicked on an unexpected resolver error. The replacement carries the request context and a 3s timeout. - Fix federated avatars querying DNS for every avatar on every render. `loadAvatarSetting` compared a cache field that was never assigned, so each call rebuilt the resolver and dropped its cache. That cache is gone, both settings are read where they are used. - Migration 348 recreates `email_hash` with a 64 char hash column and a `hash_type` column, so a later algorithm change can tell old rows apart. The MD5 rows are unreachable and their `UNIQUE` email index would reject the SHA256 replacements. - Fix a re-saved avatar form replacing an uploaded avatar with a random one. - Remove the `duoshuo` `GRAVATAR_SOURCE` alias, that service shut down in 2017. - Remove dead i18n key. refactor: use the shared workflow model from actionslib (#38768)
Pairs with https://gitea.com/gitea/runner/pulls/1143. Gitea depends on `gitea.com/gitea/runner` for exactly two packages: `act/model` and `act/exprparser`, the workflow model and the expression evaluator it needs to parse workflows and to build the task payload the runner consumes. Pulling the whole runner module in for that is heavy and puts shared code in the repository of one of the two consumers. Both packages now live in `gitea.dev/actionslib` (`pkg/model`, `pkg/exprparser`), the module Gitea and the runner already share for the runner API, so the dependency on the runner repository is dropped here. ### Changes - `gitea.com/gitea/runner/act/model` -> `gitea.dev/actionslib/pkg/model`, `.../act/exprparser` -> `gitea.dev/actionslib/pkg/exprparser` (22 files, import paths only). - `routers/api/actions/runner/interceptor.go` takes the `x-runner-uuid` / `x-runner-token` names from `gitea.dev/actionslib/pkg/protocol` instead of repeating the literals the runner also has. - `go.mod`: `gitea.com/gitea/runner` removed. --------- Signed-off-by: Lunny Xiao <xiaolunwen@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: Zettat123 <zettat123@gmail.com> |

feat: Replace SSE with WebSocket for UI notifications (#36965)
* Closes #36942 * Fixes #19265 Replaces the SSE-based push channel (`/user/events`) with a WebSocket endpoint (`/-/ws`). ### What changes - **New `/-/ws` endpoint** (authenticated). One WebSocket per origin, shared across tabs via a single `SharedWorker`. - **Pubsub broker** (`services/pubsub`) for fan-out by topic, behind a `Broker` interface. `MemoryBroker` is the default (single process); a Redis backend is available for multi-process setups, configured via `[websocket].PUBSUB_TYPE` / `PUBSUB_CONN_STR`. The internal Gitea queue was not usable here because it has FIFO/single-consumer semantics. - **Push-only event production.** Events are emitted by write-triggered notifiers — `NotificationCountChange`, `PublishStopwatchesForUser`, and the logout publisher — wired into the existing `notify.Notifier` interface. No server-side pollers. - **Typed pub/sub on the client.** `web_src/js/modules/worker.ts` is a singleton transport; features subscribe per event type via `onUserEvent('notification-count', cb)` instead of branching on `event.data.type`. - **Wire contract** (`UserEventType` union) is shared between the worker and consumers via `web_src/js/types.ts`, kept in sync with `services/websocket/events.go`. - **Client-side periodic polling fallback** kicks in only when the WebSocket cannot be established (e.g. proxy blocks WS, browser lacks module-SharedWorker support). ### What's removed - `modules/eventsource` (SSE manager, run loop, messenger). - `/user/events` route and `tests/integration/eventsource_test.go`. - All server-side polling for stopwatches and notification counts. ### Stopwatch multi-tab fix The navbar stopwatch icon was previously rendered conditionally on `{{if $activeStopwatch}}`, so tabs loaded before the timer started had no DOM element to update. The icon and popup are now always rendered (toggled with `tw-hidden`), and the start/stop/cancel handlers POST silently so all open tabs reflect the change in real time. ### Deployment note WebSocket needs the upgrade headers to pass through a reverse proxy, e.g. for nginx: ```nginx proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade; proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade"; ``` Without them the WebSocket cannot be established, and after 3 consecutive failed opens the shared worker signals `push-unavailable`: the notification count and stopwatch fall back to periodic polling on the existing `[ui.notification]` timeouts. Real-time push is lost, the features keep working. The reverse-proxy docs need the same note (see the `docs-update-needed` label). --------- Co-authored-by: silverwind <me@silverwind.io> Co-authored-by: wxiaoguang <wxiaoguang@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Epid <rexmrj@gmail.com> |
